This will be the only chance for athletics fans in Australia to see the three-time world record holder and nine-time Olympic champion compete in Australia against the best international and local track and field talent.

Lakeside Stadium will be transformed with an additional temporary grandstand for the three nights of Nitro Athletics allowing more fans to take in the two and a half hours of elite athletics in a fresh and entertaining new format.

Tickets can be purchased through www.nitroathletics.com.au and the Ticketmaster website to see Australia take on the Bolt All-Stars, England, New Zealand, China and Japan on Saturday 4th, Thursday 9th and Saturday 11th February 2017.

General Admission child tickets start at $20 while adult tickets will sell from just $30, ideal for large groups attending Nitro Athletics with their teammates from athletics and social clubs.

A family ticket for two adults and two children starts from $80 and for those wanting a five star experience, VIP package tickets are available for $265, including the opportunity to meet a number of competing athletes.

Nitro Athletics event director Glenn Turnor believes the range of tickets available for Nitro Athletics will offer good value to everyone who wants to be a part of the ground-breaking event.

“There’s twelve different categories of tickets ranging from seating on the finish line through to general admission in both the temporary grandstand and the back straight grandstand,” Turnor said.

“Nitro has been very conscious of keeping ticket prices down so it creates an opportunity for everyone to come along and watch a fantastic night of track and field.

“If patrons would prefer to purchase a guaranteed seat, then they can select from the seating map on the Ticketmaster website.”

Fans will get a chance to see the athletes from each of the six teams up close and personal with multiple warm-up areas for athletes close to the grandstands.

“We’re working hard to make sure the experience for people at the venue is unlike anything they’ve seen before at an athletics meet,” Turnor added.

“We are going to bring in a big screen as well, which will be located next to the main scoreboard.

“It will be a great experience on all three nights.”

Each night will feature twelve events including the 100m, long jump, pole vault, javelin, mixed relays and an elimination mile.

“When the decision was made to run Nitro Athletics at Lakeside we wanted to make sure the venue was big enough to support what we wanted to do,” Turnor said

“As a result we’ve put in a temporary grandstand which will hold 1700 people, which will be built at the city end.

“We’ve created four sections of which each have designated areas, some will be reserved seating, some will be general admission unreserved seating so families and various groups from athletics clubs can all sit together.

“It’s a really intimate facility where you get great viewing areas from almost every part of the stadium.”
